Blogtober Catch up Days 5-9

Hi Lovelies!

Today's post is all about playing catch up for Blogtober. I have been extremely busy these past couple of days and just forgot to actually schedule my posts. Hopefully this will be the only time that I will be playing catch up.

So, here we go!

Blogtober Catch Up Days 5-9

Blogtober 2017- Day #5- My Favorite Book

Fried green tomatoes is one of my favorite books! I think I have read probably more than a dozen times.
 Review:

It's first the story of two women in the 1980s, of gray-headed Mrs. Threadgoode telling her life story to Evelyn, who is in the sad slump of middle age. The tale she tells is also of two women -- of the irrepressibly daredevilish tomboy Idgie and her friend Ruth, who back in the thirties ran a little place in Whistle Stop, Alabama, a Southern kind of Cafe Wobegon offering good barbecue and good coffee and all kinds of love and laughter, even an occasional murder.

What is your favorite book?

Blogtober 2017- Day #6- My Guilty Pleasure

One of my guilty pleasures is watching cleaning videos on youtube. The hubby thinks I'm crazy, but they do motivate me to clean my house. Some of my favorite youtubers to watch are:

Happilyahousewife
Beauty and the Beastons
Heart and Home
LoveMeg
Style Mom XO

Another one of my guilty pleasures is to watch Reality TV. Some of my favorite shows include:

Blogtober 2017- Day #7- My playlist of favorite songs

Okay, so with this post I am going to show my age. I am an 80s girl through and through. I loved the side ponetails, jelly bracelets, and big hair. I also loved the music, especially the bubble gum pop (Debbie Gibson and Tiffany) and all of the hair bands.

With that being said, here is my ideal 80s playlist!

You Give Love a Bad Name- Bon Jovi
I think We're Alone Now - Tiffany
Pour Some Sugar on Me- Def Leppard
Only In My Dreams- Debbie Gibson
Shake Me - Cinderella
18 and Life - Skid Row
Once Bitten Twice Shy- Great White
Up All Night Sleep All Day- Slaughter
I Want to Sex You Up- Color Me Badd
Never Gonna Give You Up- Rick Astley

What is on your playlist?

Blogtober 2017- Day #9- Halloween Roseanne Conner's Way

Hi Lovelies!

Halloween is just a couple of weeks away and I thought I would share some of my favorite Halloween episodes from Roseanne. In fact TVLand aired all of the Halloween episodes and I watched all of them!! LOL!!!

Roseanne ran from 1988 to 1997 and starred Roseanne Barr and John Goodman. It was an original family sitcom that centered around a working class family struggling to make ends meet and who suffered the same problems as many of their viewers. From seasons 2 through 8, Roseanne had special Halloween episodes every year.

While most families (and TV shows at the time) would make a big fuss over Christmas, the Conners considered Halloween to be the best holiday of the year. The family would spare no expense to decorate their house and come up with most gruesome tricks to play on each other and their friends. They also expected for one another to come with the most creative and gruesome costumes and pranks.

Today, I would like to share a few of my favorite Halloween episodes from Roseanne.

1. Boo

First aired October 31, 1989.

Halloween is the Connor's favorite holiday and they go all out to make it the scariest, most gruesome holiday they can. Roseanne puts one over on Dan who is waiting to learn the outcome of a business deal.

2.  Trick or Treat

Originally aired October 30, 1990.

Roseanne dresses up as a lumberjack for Halloween. When she and Jackie have car trouble they stop in at the Lobo where Roseanne stays in character. In the meantime, Dan is worried that DJ wants to dress up as a witch.

3.  Trick Me Up, Trick Me Down

Originally aired October 29, 1991.

Roseanne is worried that her uptight neighbour Kathy Bowman will take revenge for the Halloween joke she played on her; Jackie flirts with a moose at the Lodge costume party who turns out to be her former boyfriend Booker (played by George Clooney).

4.  Halloween IV

Originally aired October 27, 1992

In a take off on A Christmas Carol, Roseanne is visited by the ghosts of Halloween past, future and present while she is at home alone. The spirits teach her a lesson about the Halloween spirit.

5.  Halloween V

Originally aired October 26, 1993

Roseanne falls for several jokes played on her by her family. She tries to get Dan to play a joke on her friend Nancy who is convinced that Dan doesn't like her, and Roseanne discovers that Darlene and David are dating.

6.  Skeleton in the Closet

Originally aired, October 26, 1994

Leon hosts a Halloween party at the Lunch Box for the staff and a few of his gay friends, many of whom seem to know his boyfriend Fred very well.

7.  Halloween The Final Chapter

Originally aired October 31, 1995

Roseanne is "Queen of the Gypsies, consort of wizards and seer of souls" on Halloween. An Ouija board sends a message and foretells an unexpected event...a new baby.

What are some of your favorite Halloween episodes from Roseanne?

NOTE: I was not able to upload the videos from these episodes from Youtube. I apologize for that. I'm not sure why I wasn't able to.
